Rationing in the News

I just came across this article today, debating whether or not the state should be allowed to impose rationing to save our health and our planet.

Should we bring back rationing?

Well, I think state-imposed rationing would be a rather too extreme reaction. But perhaps the government should get more involved with directing landshare schemes (in the mould of Hugh F-W) to help people grow their own produce? Or do something real (all about the money) to help struggling small farmers, local food producers, domestic fish and seafood traders sell their stuff to the British public?
